Hi peeps,

Looking for any members that have had their disco 4's remapped. Have been looking at the Superchip bluefin units.

Mainly interested in better mpg's

Would love to hear your feedback. All the topics I've found using search are on older models.

Have a chat with Pete at Bell Auto Services - he's very knowledgeable on LR mapping.

He'll do it remotely, if I remember rightly; he sends you a gizmo to which you download the car's current learned map, you e-mail it to him and he tailors a new one for you and sends it back.

Something like that, anyway.

Would recommend Bell as well.

They have a very good name on the Disco3/4 forums and has many happy customers.

Shall be getting one of his maps for my D3 next year. smile

I am also a Bell customer for the remap on my D3. It was exactly as mentioned previously; you buy a module, download the standard map. Send it to Pete at Bell and he replies with an improved map which you load onto the module and upload to the car.

However, unless things have changed, I believe the D4 is still a bench remap so he needs your ECU for a day. It's a 3 day remap essentially. Remove ECU and post day 1. Bell receive, remap it and post back day 2, you receive, plug in and wayhey the D4 feels great day 3.

The D3 weighs nearly 3T and isn't the most aerodynamic vehicle in the world. From what I've read the remap doesn't make very much difference if any on mpg.

Have a 2012.
Had remap done by DMS.
Started at 200bhp as Irish commercial with 5 seats.
Now 300bhp. Feels like new engine.
Doing 3mpg better also.
Mid range now epic. 50-70mph overtaking effortless.
Had it done as will be taken to South France twice a year with roofbox, 4 bikes and will come back to Ireland full of vino.
Loaded up, amazing long distance mile muncher.
Very well spent money. DMS not the cheapest but their product and service worth it.
