Range rover 4.6, help please. I have just fitted my second pump in 30k miles, ok three years, its pumping up but the warning still appears. Do you have to reset it somehow ? I can ask the dealer but would prefer not to look daft !

I suggest you get an independent with a Rovacom to hook it up and see what faults there are and clear them.

Land Rover will charge you an hour's work to do this - £60-80 !!!

I haven't heard that it is, I can only assume that it is.

The repair notes in the W/S manual for compressor replacement don't mention resetting errors, however just about anything else to do with the suspension usually involves hooking the testbook up for some reason or other...

You could give Graham Goodyer a call on 01494 432367 - he is the independent that I use and will be sure to know.

Its come back to me now, last time the dealer said try turning ignition on and off something like 8 times and if that didnt work, take it in for a reset. This time they just say take it in, but i will ring your guy, thanks for the advice. Altough i could just leave it as it self levels, its just that i can not lower it for the "graceful exit".

This is definitely a re-set job. When mine went, about 3000 miles ago, after the new one was fitted it wouldn't even go up until all the fault codes were removed from the memory. Memory cleared and everything hunky dory.
The first one lasted nearly 100k so I hope this one lasts more than 30k.

Funny you should say about the milage, the original lasted 75k, the replacement as i said 30k max, probably nearer 25k ! They even want the old ones back now, or you pay a £50 surcharge. I did find a replacement system for £230, but you had to do lots of mods.
