Now the missus has decided she doesn't want a Defender, she's decided a Disco would be OK. A guy I work with has one he's thinking about selling to me but doesn't know what price to put on it. It's a R plate 98 (or poss 97) 50th Aniversary limited edition with leather, aircon and 6-CD changer but no ABS. I think it's based on the ES, but I thought all these had ABS?. Can anyone give me a trade in price or 'private sale' price, and what spec should this Disco have? Ta.

OK, so nobody posted a reply to help me!!! I've now committed to it for £7.5k which I think is OK as it is a limited edition of 1000.

Thanks.
I spent ages looking round (using the old addage 'there's always plenty about') but didn't find any decent Discos for sale. Al the private ads were for 5-seaters not 7, and they all seemed to be a lot older. All the traders were asking from 6.5K for M-reg with 130K miles. I'll probably find loads cheaper now!!!

I looked at a tidy Anniversary Disco last year. I can’t recall if it had ABS or not. IT was on a dealer’s forecourt for 12k. I very nearly bought it except it didn’t have any sun roofs. Trivial I know but I like to give the old dorg some air if I have to leave him in the car.

I rest my case...£7500 for a '98 with 88K miles, leather and aircon. Knew it was a bargain!
