Y-Reg RR. 4.0 HSE (Vogue spec). Wot u think?

Like any Rangie, I would pay particular attention to the Air Con and EAS (suspension) and do genuinely try every single thing in the car, if it can go wrong it will!!
But also go on gut feeling...if you even suspect that there maybe something not quite right then walk away.
There are loads of these for sale at the moment at good prices so there will always be another.
Having said that, for all its faults I love mine!

Ive had my Range for a couple of years, something is always going wrong, but I wouldn't swap it. Got it conveted to LPG and use it all the time, great car.
You probably have already heard about the engines, some good magazine articles around about that problem now, look out for little coolant loss and water coming out of exhaust on start-up. Had a new air compressor and the air con rads are fragile, oh and the window winders wear out. Keep it serviced, by specialist not LR and he should keep you going for ages.
Buy it!, enjoy it!.

Thanx matey, she has gone to the Landrover Specialist today to have a thorough going over at the expense of the dealer before I pick it up. I will check the coolant thang, but understand it to be more for the 4.6?
Incidently, whats the deal with LPG, is it good for the RR? How much for a decent conversion £1200??
Mnay thanks.

All the later V8 suffer from liner problems, from the 3.9 onwards, the 4.6 are particularly prone. Apparently the best way to test them is compression test when the engine is hot.
My conversion was £1500 two years ago, get a good one!.
Tank in the spare wheel well so the load space isn't affected.
Repaid itself within a year, tend to use the car more because it doesn't cost the earth.
