Good man Mike - I've just bought a Disco, 2001. Sod the fuel crisis it's the V8 for me too. I went to the motor show on Saturday and made the fatal mistake of allowing Land Rover to take me around their factory test track. What an experience!
Being Mr Impulse buyer I ran out and bought the Disco immediately (well, 2 days later).
Dealer can't supply it until next week now which is a bugger. Anyway - Enjoy!
By the way, the LPG petrol stations are at:

Have you thought about a Defender 50th Anniversary? I was in a similar position in that I love the look of the Defender but was a little put off by my perception of the somewhat agricultural nature of the diesels. The 50th has a 4.0 V8 petrol with a ZF 4 speed Auto. They are fitted as standard with DeCarbon shocks, springs, and anti roll bars to improve road manners. Really very civilised for a defender...
Combines a bit of Range Rover civility with Defender good looks and attitude. I absolutley love mine..
Tempted..?

Well, I have bought a Range Rover.
3.9 Vogue SE Auto in green with tan leather. G reg.
Everything works, even the aircon which is amazing.
Some dents (character sir) but already bombing along on LPG tanks which makes it a bit easier.
Stand by for questions galore
Well done - Welcome to the club!
BTW, if you ever get bored with that nasty leather stuff, let me know...
Thanks folks. In relation to lpg mapping, the link provided above was the one I was going to add, I pay 29p a litre down here!!!
Now then, who wants to buy a Jeep
Smiffy, have a look at www.landrovernet.com - Excellent forums with proper landrover anoraks, a whole mind of information, a good friendly bunch too.

Suprised at the number of stations with LPG
No LPG near Kyle of Lochalsh/Skye yet than, may have to wait, as thats where we are moving to shortly. It's a bit of a run to Fort William or Invergarry.
Cheers guys
Don't just look at petrol stations as your source. In rural/farming areas there may be farming equipment companies who supply. If you have land yourself then you can install your own bulk tank.
