Range Rover Sport Engine Failure

It's not just the tdV6 engine with costly issues, their ingenium diesel also has the same borkage potential.
Really? I thought the D300 etc hadn't shown any major issues, certainly not catastrophic failures.I'm jumping in the thread as on the point of taking delivery of a Defender D300 but the dealer cocked up the order and it's not to our spec so they've offered a Sport P460e hybrid for about £130 per month more. Seems like a good deal to me as it is a total of £11,000 discount on list. And my wife really prefers the Sport.

Yes JLR have delivered. Obviously I can’t guarantee that something won’t go wrong on a new one, but looking at various FB groups for a lot of manufacturers, there’s a lot of things that go wrong and people would never buy another BMW, or Mercedes or . . . Etc etc.
I’ve got a very good deal on a new one. Far more discount than I thought I’d get.
Not got a diesel, gone for a petrol hybrid. It was a lot more expensive as the APR was 7.9% compared to 5.9% for the diesel but they’ve dropped it to be the same, so for a car that’s RRP is about £7,000 more it was only something like £7 a month extra.
A wise move, given your suggested driving profile/mileage. Enjoy it! I’ve got a very good deal on a new one. Far more discount than I thought I’d get.
