Cheers smile

Was thinking about security yesterday after a bloke rang on the door in the middle of the day and asked if I wanted to sell it. Might be genuine (whilst out I've had a few people ask me the same question), but it did feel a little dodgy...

Gonna fail it's next MOT too if that's a current photo
Could you explain why? I cant spot a reason. Plate looks legal, tyres look to be within the arches

No red reflectors on the rear wink
Common failure on Defenders as they're tiny little 2"x1" things screwed or riveted to the bottom outside corner of the rear tub, just where it meets the rear cross-member. And they fall off. A lot.

ETA: just looked again at the photos. Looks like the screw holes are there. Taken off for the respray?

eek I guess a positive point from that is the easy way to disable the alarm/immobiliser does at least immobilise the vehicle...

My latest project, 1988 Turbo Diesel export model LHD with the VM2.4 motor…

Paid scrap money for it, so its more an idea of saving it from the crusher.. needs sills and floors, the bottom of the sills and inner edge are ok but the outer and top are completely rotten.. strange way for it to go…

So on the shopping list, front bumper, tyres, sills, floors, rear hatch, seat repair, turbo overhaul and electrics… of course welding … and more welding…

Behind is my HJ75 troopie, funny enough both from 88 both with 350.000 kms…

That looks seriously mean and I think I like it, but it does lose some class being so pimped.

I like them WITH the winch, but you need lights for the roof rack, and a snorkel... hehe
