Not bad for a 25 year old motor!

Well some of us, like our car's and the paintwork to remain in a good condition and have a shine from it.
So we clean it with water and car shampoo's, dry and then apply this polish to the paintwork.
It helps keep it shiny and you can't beat seeing rain water bead up and run off a freshly polished car.

Well, ish... It was in the bodyshop having some work done as the garage had dented the bonnet while servicing it and SWMBO had clattered the bumper so I thought I'd see if they could machine polish some of the scratches out.

(Let's just say I won't be bothering with that again wink)

Well, I have just joined the club, so here goes...

Not done much yet, other than clean the straw and mud out of the back... It may as well start half-clean!
Looks very similar to mine!

Mine gets a polish every couple of months. It's too big to do all the time..
Buying a new black trim cleaner to get it all back to a nice deep shine.

Mine get's looked after but it's no stranger to being headlight deep in muddy water etc.

The Duratrac's earn their keep.

You're thinking of wax; wax protects the paint work and causes water to bead up and run off.

Thanks Vic!

But of course you are something of an expert when it comes to V8 90's! smile

I loved the look and spec of yours, but only had a small budget for this one.

The biggest investment so far has been the extra long travel suspension, you can just see it in the pictures.

I hope that will help with our off road session at Eastnor Castle on Sunday!

I will post some video of that event after we have had some muddy fun!

Thanks, she is not too bad for a late night drunken eBay purchase!

To be honest I just wanted an old 90 for having fun off road, something cheap that did not matter if we got a few dents and scratches.

I think this fits the bill!

Our Defender 90 CSW. New rear cross member welded in recently, and I've spent most of my recent weekends underneath it removing surface rust and waxing the chassis. Came up really well.

Need to paint the wheels next. White, Black or Graphite Grey?

I'd say black, but then I am a bit biased.

Dark wheels are 'practical' though. If you hate washing cars as much as I do, especially getting brake dust out of wheels.

This, by the way, is the first picture I have of my next Land Rover. The car is yet to arrive, but I;ve already got the wheels sorted. Yes, I am an optimist at heart.

Did you fit the snorkel yourself? Where did it come from, and how does it feed the V8? Pictures please!
