HELP! driving my mini just now and hit a pothole and the engine slowly died
there is no leaks from below and the engine turns over so has power
i fitted a K&N filter last week but have had no problems


have some basic knowledge but need you help asap !!

Has the bump knocked a battery cable off? Or loosened a HT Lead or your distributor?

HT Lead or your distributor maybe but got my haynes book out ... any other suggestions

You're mad being out this late in a classic Mini.

reg w 2000 so not that mad but need to move it as im in london and you know by sun rise it will be towed away

It looks like the last owner bought a "fuel boy" and it could have been bad timing as I hadnt seen it in the boot until tonight 12.21 am so it might be that ?
if it is its bad timing 100% to coincide with the pot hole !!??

hadnt need to fill up since purchase DHO!
ill keep u updated
