So I have got to pick up my new purchase on at the begining of the month, whats the best way to do it? (its not drivable as it needs the fornt loom wired in) I have thought about a trailer but no one I know has one so I would have to hire. I was thinking I might just hire a large van and put it in the back. Is this possible? I mean I am going to have to push it in using some long planks and blocks (would i need a winch? or is pushing possible?)

some ideas tips tricks etc would be greatly recieved.

I am in folkestone and need to pick up in Lecister about 130miles.

Cheers all,

Rob

p.s if anyone has a trailer locally its worth a beer, or can help its worth a crate and some pennies....

You do really need a trailer. If I lived nearer I would use mine, but I'm right up the other side of Cambridge.

Right then, I am hiring a trailer...... now i just need a tow vehicle (any vehicle with tow bar fitted would do).... My father is asking his friend/next door neighbour if i can borrow his RS6 (fitted with tow bar)for the job yikes !!!!

he actually asked me if that would be an ok vehicle for the job!!!! I am now more concerned with the MPG's on a 260 round trip!!!

I don't think he really knows what the Audi RS6 is all about...... feck!!!

This could turn into a epic road trip......

On a slightly different note, when and where is the next autojumble in the south east for minis? I need some parts, things ebay want the earth for and probably owned by persons without computers..... ergo not listed......

many thanks all.

Yes this is perfectly possible, you just need a Harrington Legionnaire 6 wheeled coach dating from the early sixties along with a crew of cockneys and lar-de-dars, in fact such a vehicle can accomodate up to 3 minis in comfort and the cars can easily be loaded through the rear doors whilst all are travelling at 50mph or so along a disused motorway, using ramps to alight.
