What order to do front end?
Discussion
I'm faced with the prospect of replacing:
- front panel
- wings
- A-panels (she's a Mk1)
- inner wings - needs both flitch panels doing and inner wings are borderline - assume best to do together?
- sills...
Any suggestions on what order to do these in?
Old inner wings and front panel are still attached.
Thanks
Nick

the a panels are the most important as they set the gap around the door, so do these first.
once the a panels and doors are on and your happy with gaps the wings and front panel are fairly easy - you just have to be sure that the gaps around the bonnet are correct.
if the inner wings are bad, it can get complicated around the a panel area as there is a boxing structure made up of the trailing edge of the inner wing and the door post.
im just doing the same job on my mk1

The inner wings are bad in that area - so it's a choice between replace the whole lot of put in a repair panel. I'm veering towards the whole lot.if the inner wings are bad, it can get complicated around the a panel area as there is a boxing structure made up of the trailing edge of the inner wing and the door post.

Assume you'd leave the old front panel on to help align everything while doing the inner wings?
