hey there
currently doing driving lessons also looking at insurance for me whenever i passed my test, and i think i might need to turn to a classic mini, as i would struggle to afford the inflated insurance costs when its time to start paying, anyway i got a quote for £390 quid for a 1975 1275gt what i thought was not a bad price

i recently sold my mini mayfair to a young lad who told me that he had been quoted at 1000 pounds less than a 1.1 corsa!
he also said that if the mini was a 'rover' rather than a austin/morris then that also upped it by a 1000 (i.e back to the same as a corsa)
i think he had been quoted 1700.
it would appear that classic minis are the way to go for the youngsters!
