A good read for Mini fans

God that Countryman looks an ungainly thing. But then, put any crossover SUV next to a Mini and it looks like a caravan.
Turini is a special place for me though so I enjoyed the piece. There's a church half way along the Col called Notre Dame d'la Menoir (TG stopped there on their World's Greatest Drives feature a series or two back) and about 10 years ago my brother, step dad and I laid my mom's ashes there. In the summer the view is terrific, and the smells of the lavender and wild garlic fill your senses. And you can hear whoever is behind you enjoying the Col echoing up the mountains. We had a convoy of modern V8 Ferraris follow us up. Not really my cup of tea, but anyway, better than a Peugeot diesel.
Then we got back onto our hired bikes and hooned the rest of the Col. She'd have enjoyed that...we did!

The link at the end of the article makes for interesting reading. Now then - what would you have for a day's tazzing round the Riviera?
550 Spyder? Duetto? A110 Alpine? Yes please....
