Hi all,

My indicators are going wild. I have checked the bulbs front and rear, I don't have a bulb out. I suspect the flasher is on its way out? Hazards work fine, but I think they're on a separate flasher anyway. Could it be water/damp related.

Not too hot with auto-electrics.

Also, what is the bit of plastic that cancels the indicators in the steering column? It has broken apart and I have had to remove the pieces. Could do with a new one from mini spares and most probably a flasher whilst I'm at it!

Thanks

Tom

Flasher unit.

But may be worth checking the charge also.

Check the socket when you replace the unit as they can get rust. A bit of greas on the pins helps stop this.

If you have problem getting the plastic part it may be worth looking second hand.

Yes, the plastic bracket has broken (which I hear is very common) so have cable tied the unit in place. I'll give it the once over, as I appear to have been checking the hazard flasher by mistake - which is new!

No, I was checking the correct flasher. Took it off and gave it a few bangs, which seems to have slowed the flash rate down and more constant! Roughly £10 for a flasher on mini spares! eek

I'm sure I've picked them up for a couple of quid in the past from minimine!
