Hey, Long story short, my 1340 has developed a misfire at around 5500rpm and above. Ive replaced all the usual suspect electrical stuff but the miss remains. I have now turned my attention to the weber 45. Not being a weber expert I have replaced it with a hif44 which was removed from a mate’s working 1380 about 4 months ago. I’ve done this to see if the misfire persists with the su. Now, I cant even get the thing to start, there’s not even cough, theirs is a spark, but I think fuel is failing to get out of the float chamber? The carb seems to be in serviceable order,(and yes ive connected the carb up correctly) ive had a gander inside the float chamber and had the piston/needle off, all seems ok? Im running an electrical pump/regulator still set up for the weber. Any ideas please..on either problem..

Yeah it runs now, but not drove it because its sorn, so i guess its just a blockage in the su. As for the misfire im goin to have a look at the metro electronic dizzy, heard the modules can breakdown.

could be low fuel presure/volume . Put weber back on and check fuel presure and volume .

I use the metro distributor also, you can actually still but the modules which surprised me. However, I was unable to find anywhere I could purchase the plug, so ended up using 2 female spade connectors from the module pins to the coil. No ideal but does the job! What's the purpose of the middle pin on the 3 pin connector?
