Wheeler Deelers?
Discussion
Did anyone see wheeler deelers last night (sky523)? Project was to buy a mini, so after looking through 10 ads in some freebie paper (when was the last time you sort a cheap mini in the local paper let alone 10) they found a mark 1 for £350. Seemed to perform really well on a road test so they offered the old boy selling it £250 but got it for £300.
Body work was very tatty. After a good sand down though, the only welding shown was replacing the bottom half of an A panel, bit of filler here and there, primed with spray cans then off to be 2 packed in its original green. Also replaced bumpers and a few bits and pieces and tarted up the engine bay. They didnt mention any mechancial work other than a quick tune up. Looked really nice when finished, £1100 spent largest chunk on the respray, sold for £1300.
Not sure when this programme was made, possible a few years ago, just all seemed a bit too good to be true, but then it is TV.

They got the boot lid handle 90 degrees out of line and restored an early 850 engine by painting it black when it should be Land Rover Bronze Green.
