Brake master Cyl Noise 'Tsst'
Discussion
Hi guys,
I think one of the seals is abit suspect on the master cylinder (Tall tower type to bias splitter). When I'm driving and press the pedal firmly I can hear a 'tsst' sound (like a pressure leak) from the bulkhead in the region of the brake and clutch cyl. I have checked the lid and it is on reasonably tight. Has anyone had experience of this sort of issue. Its the original brake master cy, maybe its time for the later servo type?
Cheers,
Tom

Have a look round for peeling paint, sure sign of a brake fluid leak! It sometimes runs down the actuator rod and peels everything behind the pedals. If the pedal creeps down when you put pressure on it, theres something wrong somewhere. As for a servo - I wouldn't bother. Minis dont need one, and its much easier to work in the engine bay without a whacking great servo in the way.
