whats the crack here? What defines this spec of mini. I know they are predominatly for racing but what is required for it to be classed as a miglia?

Many thanks,

Hi, I build and race Miglia's.

The definition is easy, go to the Mini Se7en racing club website and download the regs!

Mini Miglia is a racing series ran by the Mini 7 club. Miglias are up to 1300cc, and the 7s are up to 1000 cc.

The regs are quite strict, the miglia engines are very highly tuned but the camshaft, max valve sizes etc are specified. Theres a minimum weight restriction, they have to keep the lights and have 10" wheels although widths are up to 7".

The idea is to retain the spirit and looks of a road going mini, but the miglias are characterised by their low ride height, fat tyres with 'miglia' arches and racing livery.
