Need some advice on a roof chop!

Anyone done this? im doing a project car at the mo and im looking at doing a 3" roof chop, but id like to talk with someone who has done it..

im not sure if i should keep the rear as it is, and move the central pillar, or.... well im not sure!!!

any ideas welcome. !!!!!
