Right then, I have decided to give my new CAD software a go and want to design my dream project.

It would be a spaceframe mini with Z cars rear engine conversion incorporated.

Does anyone have the geometries for a spaceframe mini and z-cars conversion?. Then i could blend the two.

I would be using a glassfibre over shell with steel or glassfibre undercarrage.

Has anyone on here got any designs for spaceframe mini that would help me?

You can look at some of the pictures of my Mini. I don't claim it's the greatest but it should point you in the right direction. The key is to try and have three tubes at junctions. This "secret" results in no bending, therefore no twisting. Sometimes hard to do but worth pursuing.

Luda,

I think that you've hit the nail on the head there!!!!
I don’t reckon z-cars will be publishing the spec of their frame after all the hard work they have put in to it! You might just have to do the hard slog to get your dream project designed to how you want it!
Definitely go for triangulation though as KB says. That’s the key to a space frame made of lots of light small tubes. If the tubes need to be big to counter bending then you just end up with a big solid chassis!
You should be on to a good thing with CAD if you can get the main suspension and engine fixing locations plotted in then you can have loads of go’s at joining the dots with tubes!
Good luck!
