I'm trying to upgrade my drums to 4-pot metro set-up.

But I've heard that using metro hubs I will have a lot of positive camber.

Can somebody say me the exact amount of positive camber for correct with longer bottom arms.

Thanks for all.

I've never done this myself, but I thought that Metro hubs were the same geometry as the Mini. Please tell me if this is not so as it would be a serious gap in my knowledge!
If the Metro ones are different, just use hubs from a later disc braked Mini with the Metro discs and calipers, they should all go together fine.
For bottom arms use the 1.5 degree negative ones sold by the Mini Shops/Spares/Sport, or whoever. It's not a difficult job.

I did this upgrade on my old mini. I needed to find a mini with disk type hubs, and swap these for the metro ones. The metro hubs gave me 1.5 +ve camber so -ve camber bottom arms would need to be fitted. This however will increase the front end track, even more than fitting just metro brakes. If you are running 13's you may need to take some more off the wheel arches.

Your best bet is;

Late Mini hubs
Metro disks/pads/calipers
Brake hose converter, Minispares
And new bearings and top and bottom joints.

Hope this is of some help

EDITED as i cant spell!

Looks like the Metro hubs are different, then. Typical of Austin-Morris to make things as difficult as possible.
I've learned something new again - you never stop learning with Minis.
Thanks, chaps.

While we are on the suject, what's a mini like with Metro vented disc's. Does it stop realy well or are they just better but not the best ?

Sorry what I should be asking is it worth fitting a larger disc in a 13" rim i.e. maybe 10" disc, with a light wieght ally caliper, or are the metro conversion plenty enough.

Cheers

For the price they are great. I have them on my mini with Mintex pads and i have never had any problems and it do hammer the brakes. If you upgrade take some extra time and money to do a really good job, good pads, disks replace bearings and seals. You will not get a better set up for under £150.

The only down side would be the increase in the 'unsprung' weight. I dont have any issues with this at all. The good points far out way the bad ones.
