How much does a A series engine and box wieght ???

Hi all I'm doing a Vtec conversion on a 1970 Saloon, was woundering what the weight of a Classis A series engine and box is ?
Or does anyone know what the final wieght of some Vtec cars might be ???

1207kg for a civic type r ep3. Not that i can see how that helps unless your doing something with srings....

Seen some weights for a B series Vtec is 400lbs engine and trans-axle, and that a original A Series BL is 350lbs..

Spoke with MiniTec today and they say the K Series is actually lighter than the 400lbs.... So apart from the transfer box and 4WD stuff looks like a K series is only just heavier than the original BL unit. They even said they where surprised at how light the new Motors are, but they are Liner-ed Ally blocks I suppose

Don't just look at the weight of the engine and gearbox though. No doubt you'll be uprating the brakes and suspension, which may add a little more weight, plus possibly some form of rollcage, plus the different subframes will add a lot more weight.
