AM IN THE PROCESS OF FITTING A DEVA BUSH PRIMARY GEAR
DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THE END FLOAT SHOULD BE
ALSO THE BRASS PLUG TO CLOSE OIL SUPPLY ANY IDEAS WHERE TO GET ONE OR I WAS THINKING OF MAKING ONE FROM AN OLD BRASS SCREW

Ideal end-float is around 0.002" +/- a bit.
You'll have to get a plug made up to suit.

If you have a wet crank, what length is it? The wet cranks were generally slightly longer than the dry type. Block the oil hole with a piece of welding rod or similar and make sure that it does not protrude above the surface of the crank. If your crank is a longer one, which I suspect it may be, you will need to make a small spacer to take up the slack between the new primary gear and the c washer spacer. I machined down a spare spacer. One advantage of this is that you can have the spacer machined to include the clearance you need.;)
