Unfortunatly since i moved many moons ago i sold most of my spares for my mini to friends locally as i had no where to store them. Now i am sure many of you have items that you no longer want or need/ or have no use for.... I wanted to know if anyone had any spares they wanted to sell.... carbs, wheels, anything really thats taking up space but is of good qualitity that you could do with moving along or would like to see used as intended.

so please post below and i will get in touch via PM.

i absolutely promise if i do purchase something it will not be for resale profit, my word is my bond on this.

many thanks

Rob

I have 4 12x6 Revolutions still wrapped up in Yokohama A539's

i will be honest its not all in great condition. one of the four alloys has a decent chip in it. and there are some centre caps missing. its been sitting in my garage since i upsized.

but if you are interested i will take some photos.

Thank you allycat but if i am honest i really want 10" rims for the future project so they would not be of much use to me. I feel bad for declining for some reason?

kindest regards

I used to have three Minis up until just over a year ago, still got a load of odd spares in the garage. Not much of interest mind, think I've got a heater, bolt on pedals, gear linkage, steering column, loads of odd heater hoses, possible a couple of oil filters, few gearbox cases + transfer cases and clutch covers (think they are all broke though), one or two cylinder heads, one of them is 1275, loads of odd gearbox spares, think a pancake filter, fuel pump, few NOS BMC things still in original boxes, think I've got some side windows too, some Clubman lights, bout all I can think of off the top of my head at the moment, but I'm sure there is more.

Whats the theme of your project, a Mk1 resto? Standard, rally, racer or pimp?

The theme is very loose, but classic without the frills.

I have been chomping at the bit to build up a mini for some time now. I plan to do its first stage as a fun thing, but dim and distant future plans are to keep it as an investment. Preferablly i would like to have a tax exempt car as they attract a preimum, however if i cannot find a shell within price and thats Straight (in all senses of the word... no dodgy V5 docs) then i will initially settle for a rust free shell.

The engine and drivetrain are going to be pretty special, as and when i can locate all the parts, and even this specfication is likely to change with development. I do know that i want to runn 10x6" rims in classic keeping, but have something like a 1330/1380 engine, 5 speed box (S/C drops and box are a maybe) webber carbs, always wanted a Arden 8 Port head with all the trimmings. KAD 4 pots on 8.4" cut down discs, + KAD rear disc conversion. Coil over adj spax or similar, Twin tanks the list goes on and on.

The wife has to be able to drive it and sometime in the future its going to be the learner car for are ginger kids......

I'm not in the position to have a shell to work on at the moment, so i am just in the process of collecting things. Nothing is out of the question, its qualitity i am after as opposed to asthetics.... i have been toying with a Matt black paint job if i don't get a tax exempt mini straight off the bat.....

In my mind i think by getting things that might or might not need work i can gather good quality bits and peices without the pressure of throwin them at the car to make it work/ drivable, A mistake i made when i was a wee nipper.

Ultimatly i would like to recreate the giant slayer mini of old, without all the chrome, anodised tat you see hanging off some many cars.....

so come on what you got????
