Changing the subframe mount
Discussion
eeerm, yes it does - you got an ex library copy per chance?
Anyway:
Teardrops: take grill off, jack car up a bit (for ease of access) undo the bolts (you'll need a ring spanner) - wiggle new one into place, do back up. You'll see what I mean when you get there.
Towers: Undo the bulkhead subframe mount on that side, undo the tower bolt on the cross member, jack car up off the sill on that side VERY CAREFULLY with a BIG spreader piece of wood. You need a quarter inch or so at most. Slide out the old tower mount rubber, slide in solid one and do up...
Bulkhead: With car still up slightly (the weight of the subframe pulling away from the bulkhead makes this easier) undo the other two bolts and withdraw mounting. Slide new one into place and bolt up. You'll need an old, strong screwdriver or prying bar to use as a lever to line the holes up. A mate inside the car to line the double bolt up makes life much easier here.
Very fiddly job, but not overly difficult.
