Help on value....
Discussion
Hi,
I am asking for a friend who has a mini cooper s on a W plate (2000). His wife passed away and had this car in the garage, it is going to be sold, but we have no real idea of a reasonable asking price... can anyone help?

12-15k depending on if it is a last 500 (and if that milage is correct maybe more, less then 2k? collectors car really). Sorry for the loss, thats terribly sad news.
Thanks for you guys. How would I know if it was the last 500?Cheers,
Some clarifications. John Cooper Garages doesn't exist anymore as car sales, center consoles are only after market and a signature or not on the sun visor is irrelevant.
There are only a couple of cosmetic differences between a Cooper Sport and Cooper Sport 500.
The chrome badge on the boot lid should say Cooper Sport 500 and there's a moulded plaque inside the glove box which says ’THIS MINI IS ONE OF THE LAST 500 BUILT TO THE ORIGINAL SIR ALEC ISSIGONIS DESIGN’. It should also have a third brake light, but my Cooper Sport has one and so this alone is not proof.
The 500's also came with a whole host of merchandise in a goodie bag. Worth trying to locate this as it will add value.
There is a Cooper Sport 500 Register giving more info and will be able to verify if it's genuine.
They may also be another route for selling as they are well sort after.

Hope it all works out.
