Distributor problem
Discussion
I'm trying to sort out a mini for a friend (it's actually a trike, but it's got a 998 mini engine) and we've come across a problem with the distributor.
We planned to fit a magnetronic ignition system, but it seems the countersunk screw for the adapter plate has a different thread to the original screw that was used to hold the points in place.
I think the donor car was a Y plate mini, I'm sure it's a 45D4 dizzy and I think the points were the non sliding type.
Is there anything unusual about this dizzy, or the points used?
The magnetronic kit is for a 45D4, but the kit was new a few years ago and never used. I'm going to try and contact the manufacturers, but I wondered if anyone on here had any info.
Cheers
