YHK 82L RED COOPER-S RED/BLACK ROOF
Discussion
Does any one know where my old 1275 Cooper-S is now ? I sold it in around 1998 , it needed restoration and had been off the road for some years.
It was Red , with a black roof, had 5 or 6 inch Revolutions, a Wood rim Mota Lita Steering Wheel , Half Roll Cage , Flared Arches , Twin Tanks etc. It had been built in 1973 on a New Mk2 Shell .
Any info much appreciated .

Hi Hammer , thanks for your reply . I did check the dvla site some time ago and saw it listed on there. I beleive that the guy who biught it came from Surrey ? Although it has probably changed hands since then. I would love to have her back.
She was Originally built by a guy called JOHN WHITE , from Hertfordshire,in response to the sad fact that you couldnyt buy a New 1275 S any more . He was apparently well known in the Mini world . Anyone recognize him ?

John White is very well-known in Mini rallying. He had an orange 1275 'S' back in the late 60's which is known as the 'Orange Box'.
His business was at Hatfield Heath near Harlow and he was a member of Chelmsford Motor Club.
I've not seen him in a while, but he was at one of the Mini Cooper Days a few years bak and was a judge for the conours.
An 'ace' Mini man.
