Lucas sports coil

hi I just bought a Lucas sports coil for my 998cc 1989 mini does any body no what the correct spark plug gap should be?

Gap to 0.025" as standard.
There have been some issues with those Lucas Sports coils in that some have failed after a very short service life. I don't know where they make them these days but quality seems to be an issue. I was speaking with Peter Baldwin who has the rolling road near Royston, and he has also had coil failure problems. I have had 2 failures with relatively new ones in the past 15 months on 2 different cars.

if its an 89 make sure you wire it 12volt, wiring them using the fat 9v wire blows the coils up

thanks for that info about coil I'll keep the old one in boot incase new one dies lol
I've adjusted the plugs and the car is running sweet, had number 3 plug a mile out
