erratic ideling with the choke out HELP PLZ!!!

i have just put a new inlet and out let manafold and su carb on my mini. i have had the timing sorted so it runs right. but for some reason i do not know why?but it will not start in the morning at all, even when the choke is out.i have to pour petro into the carb to get it to start then after that with the choke out it revs on its own high low high low....but after its warmed up and i put the choke in the car runs fine :/ . just wonder if anyone can help plz thanx
