Upgraded brakes (new Mini)
Discussion
Do you www.mini2.com?
Great resource I have to say.
BBR have a suspension kit that helps a lot by all accounts for substantially less than a brake upgrade.
I have heard though that BMW dealers are getting a bit tighter on the warranty side of things if things are changed which is a right pain...

Yes I do - they're changing server or something today so the website is down... but yes it's a great site.
Don't I know about the BMW warranty! I think they're developing all of their own stuff now (springs, brakes etc) - what a money spinner.. it's such a modifiable car so I guess they're cashing in.
Thanks for help!

When I took mine round Bruntingthrope the brakes would stop working compleatly after about 5 laps (a bit scary as you can imagine) and when giving it some round the lanes the start fading really badly after a while too.
I was thinking of the AP kit, but will probably try better pads, braided hoses and higher temp brake fluid as it's MUCH cheaper! NewMINISport.co.uk do a cheaper kit too.
I've taken it back to BMW a few times complaining about it but they just say it's normal
They're the worst brakes I've ever had on a car
