nope, it would be deadly. i used to have a set and i got about 3 feet out the drive, reversed back in and walked.

the sprint is bad enough on a008's

still, you need an engine in it before you can drive it tom!!!!!

yeah, both of them

the blue one is really nice, it was left under water in the flood the other year and wrecked - i stripped it to a bare shell and put a front, floors and sills, doors, bonnet and boot on it.

its got really nice panel gaps as i spent ages making sure they where just about perfect

all the running gear is either new, reconned or good, as is the engine and the trim

i even got some period pressed metal yellow and white serk plates for it

its had a fortune spent on it, its my 'pottering' car - i did it with the intention of having a nice stdish mini 1000 to use as a everyday car, but have since got a 68 mk2, so once it passes its mot it will be going (at a huge loss no doubt)

the white car is my mini sprint - its not perfect, but i did it myself and learnt a lot, the next one will be better. 4" chop!!!!

again, all the running gear and interior is new or reconned so its a nice usable and reliable car - i use it a lot and it lives on the street a lot in the centre of town -

superb mate, dont suppose you have and snap shots of your chop whilst in progress do you, that would be great to see. My two buddy and i have just half completed the floor on our 79 clubman estate, weve never done this befor so its an adventure but whoo what a nightmare, we removed 3 outer sills on each side and 4.......yes 4 drivers side floor pans, absoloutly shocking..we put it up on the spit roast frame and it turned a full 90 degrees on its own. ill put a few picks up.

I can report with some autority, that a mini city on cheap 10" falkens is awesome in the snow and sludge!

The only time I had more fun was earlier last year in the Moggie biggrin

It actually works in the snow, 12" yoko something or others, its fine. One of the very few cars that gets up the hill where I live, top stuff. biggrin Such an inner smugness when the neighbours bimmer won't get far off the drive.

i never intended the car to be finished (it was a tester) so never bothered - i just made a set of jigs and templates which allow various heights to be chopped (with a bit of messing).

if you hunt around on the internet you can find pictures mid chop of cars that neville tricket has done (he did them in the 1960's) in the last few years.

my mates tricket sprint is in mini mag next edition.

you have some way to go on the floor front - we did a 1964 mini moke a few years ago that had 11 floors on top of each other - it was over an inch think and certainly sounded solid!!!

I can confirm colway winter tyres (unavailable now unfortunately)work really well. I have them on the drive wheels only as i didn't have another spare pair of rims to match the back but this has been no problem so far, driven round several stuck modern cars smile

My daily driver (filthy) hack..

Guru, im still in awe of that Sprint! I love it yes
It looks perfect enough from where I am sitting..

I used to love driving my Mini's in the snow. They were enormous fun and nigh on unstoppable! I think it was an RSP Cooper on skinny 145's I used the most in snow.

Hi all,
have been waiting for an opportunity to make my first post and no time like the present, so would highly recommend 145/10s in the snow for maximum fun & traction
