NO HEATERS

just brought a K plate 1275cc italion job MINI.
this is my first purchase of a car like this & dont know much about them but loved this one & had to get my hands on it.
problem is the car interior heaters do not work & the wipers also. i have checked the four fuses under the hood which are fine. are there any more fuses about which i missed checking or anyone know what it could be ?

Do you mean the heater motor doesn't run, or that you don't get hot air from it?

If the former, check that you are getting power to the heater (cable is on the top IIRC) and that the earth connection for the heater is OK.

If the latter the heater either needs bleeding, or you might have a blockage - probably worth flushing the cooling system (certainly the heater section) and then bleeding it as thoroughly as possible.

Hopefully someone will be along soon with some better advice :-)

well the heater motor not running at all. along with the wiper switch not working' weird.
will have to do further checks i guesss'

I'd check that you're getting 12v at the wiper switch, the wiper motor and at the heater & heater switch - could be a broken wire, or a bad earth - possibly worth cleaning the contacts on the fuse box if they look grubby/poor - just be very carefult o label the wires before you remove them!

Does your washer fluid pump work?

If not, its the 3rd fuse down in the fuse box just under the drivers side wiper in the engine bay. 20p fix
