think I'm about to get clobbered by DVLA for not renewing SORNs on three old minis that I own.
Anyway - I scrapped one a few years ago but didn't register it as scrapped.
As I still have most of the components from the car it would be feasible to reshell it.
Is the V5 worth anything?

If you have a V5 for a 1974 or earlier car it could be worth something as the car is eligible for Historic or Post-Historic Rallying. Historic is pre-1/1/68 and post-historic is pre- 1/1/75.
Putting a figure on this is difficult, but a buddy of mine paid £200 for a 1971 1275GT V5 a couple of years ago, but it came with a load of bits to help the re-build. We were out rallying that car last weekend (no, don't ask, I'll post on that problem soon!).

2 years in prison or a £5000 fine if you read the back of the new V5's. I think they are the right figures.

I hope not, because I sent my Innocenti Cooper 1300 log book back to Swansea after I scrapped the car...

You also risk assisting a car thief to change the identity of a stolen car.
