Some say the 3-syncro is stronger, but then, it needs to be with no syncro on 1st.

I had a three synco box in a mini for some time. It worked well if I was racing (hill climbing) you had to lock up too get in first but that made it more fun. It had been moded to stop one of the gears moving to far. I dont know if this was just that box or if it is a problem on all. I did not ever have to take the box out so dont know what was done but I think it was for revers?

What case number is it?

If it's a 22G333, whack it on ebay and laugh.

Ahhh, that's a casing number.

Still, the 3 syncro kits are worth some bucks, especially if 1st gear on the laygear isn't shagged.

I wouldn't bother fitting/using a 3 sync kit, unless you are going to drag/sprint it. I use first gear a lot and with sliding mesh gears, they have higher peripheral speed at the point of contact and chip more.

I'd put it on ebay in individual cogs. The laygear will fetch some proper bucks if it is good order.

FYI, there is a SC second gear on ebay by itself.
