I could just about get a socket on my old locker nuts and even torque them up properly!

Halfords sell a locking wheel nut removal tool which I have used with success in the past...

Locking Wheel Nut removal Tool

Alternatively just hammer a (slightly too small) socket over the locking wheel nut - I've had that work in the past.

Contact Superlites at http://www.superlite-wheels.com/enquiry.asp They can supply you with a replacement so you don't have to bodge up your locks to get them off.

IF all else fails mate. hit it as hard as you can shocking the nut which streches the threads and it comes loose. when u take the locking wheel nut out u can hardley see the differnce in the threads but it works. dont worrie about it f*****g the threds in the hub the nut allways gives way befor the hub. ive done this many of tymes this is how we do it at vauxhall.

christ, if thats the advice that a (presumably) vauxhall trained technician can give as a main dealer recomended way of getting lock nuts off, them im glad i dont either own a vauxhall or use vauxhall main dealers.....

i assume that the poster is aware that minis use studs and nuts, not bolts with a coarse thread??, not that i can see it working

all that will happen if you try to this on a mini is that you will punch the stud and nut through the alloy wheel as the stud moves out the hub....

crazy!
