I've just added a 1974 Innocenti Mini-Cooper 1300 to my Minis and need a bit of help with the resto. It doesn't need much doing, but as it was originally LHD I'm converting it back to make it correct.
I have discovered that the LHD throttle pedal assembly is different and i believe the brake/clutch pedal boxe may also be different. I'll know better once I've done a trial fit to see if the masater cylinder push rods line up with the pedal ends, but if anyone here knows what the differences may be it will save me some time.
I also need some cream/biscuit Innocenti trim including carpets, front door cards and seats. Newton Commercial do all that at a (high) price, but if necessary I'll just buy it.
Does anyone have any idea what cam was fitteed to the '74 Inno 1300?

if your returning it to original, which it sounds like you are (lhd) the seat trim was always higher spec, sort of like cloth inserts, imao newton is the best place to have them done or buy seat kits, your next bet is finding a rear set in the colour you want, and remove the inserts and have them sewn in the front making up new seat covers for the front biggrin thats assuming they were the same as my inncoenti cooper 1300, not sure on the cam, although could be the same at the 1275gt

Regarding the Cam, I looked at an innocenti years ago, and it had under the bonnet what looked like an Austin 1300GT Emgine, that is, 11 stud head on a block without tappet covers, & twin 1 1/4 Su's I havn't a clue if it was origional. So same as 1300GT ???

It's coming on well.
I'm just searching for a couple of bits now, but I think I've found them.
I've loated some good rear seats in the correct couour ans will be going for the Newton Commercial front seat re-cover kit plus new carpets also from Newton plus new door cards.
I left the cam as standard as it's in good condition. In fact thee ngine can't have done more than a few thousand miles. I corrected the comp ratio, which was too low due nto it having low-comp pistons fitted, albeit almost new ones, and cleaned up and set everything correctly.
I have got a repladcement boot lid which just wants spraying in 'Blue Scuro' and fitting.
I hope it'll be all done for early April.

cam could have been a 1300gt, i also remember something being different on the engine breather on or near the cam chain cover, easy to tell a original innocenti engine, how'd you get on with the carpet?

I'm just going to buy a new Inno carpet set from Newton Commercial together with a set of front seat covers.
The engine in an Innos 1300 Cooper is a 1275 GT engine with an 11-stud head and Cooper 'S' valve sizes.
On stripping my engine I discovered that it had recently been re-built and bored to 1330 cc. The pistons, however, are not the high comp ones, but are 21251, so I've corrected the CR to 10.3:1 by skimming block and head. If i ever do a full re-build I'll use 21253 pistons cropped by about 0.035" to suit the lowered block deck, the actual amount to be cropped to be decided at trial-build.
For the rest it's basically standard as I want it as original as possible since it's so immaculate.
The replacement bootlid is almost ready for painting and I've been promised that the correct brake-light pressure switch is in the post together with the long fuse-box cover.
Then it's just the electrics to sort out which will be a day's job and the interior re-fit, which will take a bit longer. I think I have a rear seat set on its way shortly as well.
I'm really looking forward to driving it and it's a long time since I've driven a LHD Mini.
