timing!

What are correct timing for 1275cc with stage 1 kit, and HIF44 carb?

as i just changed the carb over, thre engine rev fine but with gear it just flat. like no torque at all. My car engine just goes flat on accerlation

Can i get engine running ok without rolling road ?

is there a easier way to do the timing ? ads im completely new to this?

Get a Haynes Manual.

Sounds like a dodgy lead or somthing if one cylinder isn't firing though. Or you've got the wrong needle in it. Get to a rr if you don't feel confidant sorting it out.

Sure u have the correct gasket between carb and filter and/or not blocked of the air holes to the SU ?

Is the dizzy still in the same place as b4 the carb change....if not resort to static timing set up as per manual then progressively advance to optimum...probably similar to figures already posted.
