Just bought a brand new cooper S (for the wife) on close inspection wife noticed that the drivers rear quarter has been filled and sprayed but still wanted to take the car as dealer said that it can be re-sprayed so that you will not see it, not too happy now though what should I do?

I wouldn’t have accepted it, would have thought that the dent would have been done in transit or at the dealers, I would phone one of the customer lines a see where you’d stand about getting a replacement car or some complimentary bits added to it.

When my girlfriend picked hers up they’d made it with a white roof instead of the black we ordered, they offered to have the roof sprayed so we accepted but had it painted in metallic silver which makes it more of a one off.

If you do accept it make sure the new paintwork is covered by the anti-perforation/corrosion warranty.
Badly repaired body work can rust in only a year or two
