Has anyone heard of any plans for a WRC Mini?

Is there any reason to expect that it wouldn't be a hardcharging nuts mobile?

Ford, Citroen and Peugeot have done pretty well with their smaller, former 2 wheel drive beasties, so why not BMW with Mini - it would introduce them to a rather large base of fans and into a new Motorsport.

I think it would be a great idea anyone concur?

Great idea - could well too short though - pugeout had to do a special run of 5000 206s with extra long bumpers to get the 206 wrc long enough to be eligible, but it shouldn't be that hard to convert a MINI, it's got BMWs z-axle rear suspension after all...

They're was a concept, i've seen some pics somewhere, can't remember where though (soz!). I think there were problems with space for a 2.0turbo gearbox with transfer box in that little engine bay would require major rework of the body. not to mention heat etc.
