Wood&Pickett MINIs
Discussion
I still have Wood & Picketts 1990 press/demo car nestled in the back of my garage.
This featured in a few magazines, books and newspapers back in the day. Its not been used for a few years unfortunately, as running multiple cars simultaneously here is rather expensive now. Its still in great condition however. Bar needing some mechanical TLC.
Do you have some pictures of yours to show?
I can't help with the window rubbers im afraid. My W&P Mini doesn't have quarter light windows. But I do have a good pair of original W&P doors with the nice quarter lights and electric windows. I thought i'd use them for a project car some day, but not got around to it yet.
While im here. I think Wood & Pickett are trying to make some kind of owners register themselves. Although i have not contacted them yet.

Jens, I saw the website and the pictures. It looks like a great Mini and a fine example of Wood & Picketts handiwork. In fact it appears to be a good example of your handiwork too!
Well done
I've done very little to mine since buying it from Wood & Pickett directly many years ago. All I did was change the grill, as the one it was supplied with has 2 flush spotlamps in it, and a HUGE "WP" logo in the middle (It was a press/demo car after all). It made the front of the car look far too cluttered, so it had to go. I did keep the grill though, if ever it needed to go back on.
Not many of these cars left now.. Nice little bespoke classics.

Hi all see WPs home page if you are after a genuine old WP mini, they just found a unrestored, original car in a barn. Just dont do what the guy did to the one on the MCR, he bought it, and then scrapped it . These cars are much to rare, to end like that, and whats the fun in having just some of the bits, and not the whole package, in the original car

This one? http://woodandpickett.com/cars-for-sale/15/ Would be nice once tidied up P,
Hi P thanks for that, I better clear this number plate thing with the people who dont live in DK.
When you buy a personal plate its YOUR plate, and you can move it on, to ANY of your vihicles registred in your name, there is a fee on 30£ each time you want to do it, but the upside is, you dont have to keep paying roadtax on all your cars, so in the end you save money this way. The plate just have to stay on for atleast a month, before you can tranfer it again. Also you save on each set of plates, as a set of Number plates in DK are 118£.

Hey, I have contact to a rubber manufacturer in Sweden, but he needs a piece/sample then he can make us new seal. My car is now put back together, is your quarters on a restored car also? or can you cut off a inch ? I have contact with 2 more who needs rubber, this means we can split the cost in 4
this should give us a good price
are your car a RADFORD or Wood & Pickett ?? and how old ??

Hi Gary, I send you a pm, nice with a WP car inhere, yes its nice to see others, but here in DK there is only my car, and a WP taken to bits, in a storage place, he had the body restored but its now left.
what colour is your car ? does it have sunroof ? nudge bars ? what colour is the leather ?
you can find my car on the eurorods page in my previus reply to this thread(above)
the guy is based in Holland and is trying to get as many original WPs assembled as possible, his car is still with him since 1973, and in immaculate condition.

yeaa its nice with the Webasto mine were found with one of these (parden my french) "toilet seats" in the roof I had the choise of a new roof panel, or putting in a proper Webasto?(as listed in WPs brochure) I found a roof soon after I bought the car, but I realized that it was NOT going in with that horrible plastic switch, 7 years later when searching for a 8 track/radio I was at Vedbaek autoradio, and not only did he recognize the dashboard(had the woodpart with me) but he also told me he maintained the original system for its 1st owner in the 70ies. After looking for a radio without luck, I saw a shelf full of swithces, and one of them was the same as in the WPs for window/sunroof, I asked what it was from? and if I could buy it? it was from a BMW 3.0 CSI and I could have it for a small donation to his coffee box, so then I could put the sunroof in the proper way, at the front of the hole there was only 4mm when cut, so it was close, but it all fitted perfect(did a test fit before the car went to paintshop)

Hi all, have you sold on the WPs?? very quiet inhere have seen a couple for sale on Ebay.
Latest find is a genuine W&P roof aerial, New Old Stock bought at W&P in the 70ies.
I had a copy of the original bill with it, it was sold by E Collins, same guy who signed my car into the orderbook at W&P.
Will be nice to see it on the car.
