Has anyone else noticed how many people on this forum not only own a Mini but a TVR aswell? I know it's a fast car site and as such will atract "pistonheads" (Sorry),with more than one car, but the number does seem to be disproportionate.
Is it maybe a british car thing?
How many of us are there?

Well theres me and Paul V for a start.

Oh and yes, for me it is a British car thing. I dont see why I should be helping another countries economy...

The British car bit is good and they are both great fun to drive.

I dunno....maybe its having one car for corners & one for the straights.....

I'll close the door behind me......

I've got a Mini 1310cc at the moment, and I WILL have a TVR by the end of this summer.

Not a TVR but a Westfield (pretty darned british),
it'll eat minis on the straights and bends _BUT_ the mini still soo much fun to drive (drier in the wet
as well), and minis are fun at MUCH more sensible
speeds!

The whole mini community is so friendly and the cars
offer so much cheap fun I had to have one as well
(albeit a plastic one!)

Yeah, I've got a TVR Cerbera and a Mini Cooper - which is in the process of having a big turbo upgrade.

Hi Leebee, haven’t seen you around for a while, how’s the mini coming along? Did you ever finish that welding?

Hi Paul
still lurking!.Have decided to do the Mini up properly so it is taking a while (still waiting for Mini Spares to get some comp cones out to me, fed up waiting, only need these to complete the front subframe). What else, got some brand new doors and a nice new alloy dash, only 3 million things to do now!

Cheers

I think the TVR/Mini thing is probably a result of the style, individuality & Britishness that they both embody.

I've had two minis & am now running an old TVR as my daily driver....and starting to long for a '60s 1275 Cooper S to go alongside!

Nice, we didn’t go for everything, just the chilli pack, cd player and climate control I think, great fun car though, how long do you have to wait?

Yet another couple of TVR (Tuscan) and (admitedly german) MINI owners (Judas is the other half). Plus an MGB Roadster.

Next purchases will have to be an Elise and an original Mini (unlikely hubby will go for that though - only got a single garage!)
