I know this should really go in the classified but its not really the sort of thing that would work in there.

I'm after something that has seemingly dried up, a cheap mini.

Its for my Gf, Im a car restorer so don't really mind what state its in but would prefer nearly roadworthy.

Ideally a failed restoration or someone who has one sat in a shed they dont want any more.

Anyone please?

Hmmm... does it have to have an engine??

I've got a rolling shell, needs some work around the scuttle corners. Has Hi-Los, Spax and 12" Minilites. No interior or engine. Probably a bit far gone for what you want...

We've got an automatic that could be up for sale soon. I want rid of my 1040, but I think it may be way off what you want.

Doesnt have to have an engine. Depends on price.

In an ideal world a runner would be better, something with MOT on or thgat I can just tickle up to bang through MOT and get her on the road, I can start to play with it after that.

But open to offers especially if its cheap!

Try phoning Chris Spennewyn on 07976 736885 (tell him Neil from Doncaster gave you his number). He does a lot of mini repair work and comes across cars fairly regularly. I spoke to him yesterday and he has a Mini 35 he is looking to sell. I understand it is basically tidy, probably needing a-panels and a door repair at some point.

He's based in Hitchin.

Cheers

I was there yesterday and the Mini 35 is really very nice. If you want one that requires just some limited tidying it would be ideal as it is.
By the way, I have a Mk 1 850 shell needing the usual resto work, wings, front panel, floors, etc, that I want to find a home for. I don't want anything for it and it seems a shame to scrap it as Mk 1's are hard to find anyway. It could have a V5 with it as well, but no doors, bonnet or boot lid.

I'd want around £200 for mine given that the Spax, hi-los, solid subframe mounts, wheels and tyres have only got about 500 miles on them.

Got a mate of mine who desperately want rid of his mini. It's in Ok nick, but the engine is out of the car. There is a standard unleaded 1275 for it. He's got the ususal Spax, Hi Los and a few other bits. Drop me a mail if you're interested.

I've got a mate who has a 1961 ex-racer with no rust, it's in good nick but VERY tatty. No rust though. Not sure what he wants for it but he's just about to lose his industrial unit and has boxes of all the bits. I'll ask him if you like.
