Not if you've got a great blower strapped to the engine!
I'm going to run SC spread ratio gears (clubman) and with my wide power band, I should be able to run a tall FD. It's running a 3.7 at the moment which is a bit silly on the road. I want the revs to drop quickly when I take my foot of the juice, so that I can do quick changes without killing the synchros. Also, the reverse.

Is there not one between 3.44 and 3.1 other wise good call.
Mind you Stuart Wiught of Snail Speed in the 186bhp Turbo Mini Miglia Replica has a 3.44, and is used as daily driver.
Has to be the Ultimate - had the pleasue of being first in passenger seat in it at last years LSMOC Goodwood day- MENTAL.

No, mine is much more of a bodged thing. Eaton M45's don't like suck through, so I hear, you have to have special seals. Besides, I have seen one where the long pipe between the carb and blower got very cold due to the pressure drop, must have been flowing a fair bit of heat. He has very nice heads but I'm using a decompression plate. Anyway, the blower is mounted where the alternator goes, it sucks though the scoop (which is the wrong way for the blower, but the only way on a mini) and blows into a collector (downwards) the blower is mounted with the rotors horizontal (just fits) and through a Rover 218Tdi intercooler, then piped into a metro turbo carb. Compression Ratio is about 8:1 and should take about 14 PSI, snag is the dizzy has to go so megajolt is the go. Trying to look for a reliable 145hp with a LOT of torque. Problem is to get the engine to keep it's oil in at the moment. SE Cornwall is awash with oil, just look at the roads in the wet
