What bits do you need to convert a Metro cable clutch to a mini hydrolic system? I am not an expert but the operating arms are a different length between the Metro (new) and Mini (Old) engines so therfore I need some new bits to make it work. But what do I need?
Also appart from MK1 balljoins, a hose conversion kit, and my original steering arms, do I need anything else to put the Metro hubs on?

If fitting a metro lump into a Mini, with regard to the clutch, you are probably best going for an early clutch assembly rather than the horrible and heavy 'Verto' unit.
To do this you need an early flywheel and backplate, clutch centre plate, hydraulic slave cylinder and hose, clutch operating arm, a release thrust bearing and bearing carrier plus a diaphragm unit (ideally a Cooper 'S' standard type - Mini Spares do these).
Maintenance tip of the week:
If you bore some 3/4" holes through the front sub-frame web you can get access to the clutch cover bolts which makes clutch changes very easy, especially if you use 'Aeroquip' hoses on the brake servo so that it comes out and goes back in without the need to re-bleed.
I hope this helps,
Peter
