About 2 years ago someone decided to pull out on me at a junction. I ended up T boning her and finished up putting a removable front on my mini, for my life I do not know why.

Anyway, its horrible. Although it looked great, at first, all the lines were good and the paint was very good, it started to go down hill fast. I started getting rust within 6 months and now it looks very bad, so I want to revert it back.

I know I will need 2 wings, bonnet, frontpanel, A panels and 2 half inner wings, but how difficult would it be to fit it all up? I am quite nifty with the welder and a Aeronautical Engineer, so I think I ‘should’ be ok, but what do you think? Should I attempt to do it? Or give it to someone who knows what they are doing?

Fitting a mini front end is easy peasy. It was the first car I learnt to weld on (with a stick welder!)
Anyway, the panels are cheap, and as long as the subframe is straight you have nothing to worry about.
Line up the new bonnet on the hinges, to the scuttle. Fit the new front panel to the subframe mounts, get a few self tappers or mole grips to line things up and tack it into place. When everything looks ok, do your final welding.

Now for the painting........aarrgghhh!
