Cooper S BBR conversion
Discussion
Hello,
Has anyone got any real world experience of the +18bhp BBR conversion? @ £350 fitted whilst you wait delivering:
"another 18BHP, far crisper throttle response and improved engine vitality... ...as an addition to the increase in performance, the engine which guzzles fuel in its original form now has far, far better fuel economy! Our own demo Cooper S returns well over 300 miles per tank full and will average up to 39MPG...."
Sounds like good value to me, especially considering we cover 300miles+ per week in our MCS. What I'd really like is a bit more throttle response - I'm happy with the overall performance when you rev it hard so the "improved vitality" (whatever that is) sounds appealing.

Could try digging out the EVO that covered the various Mini conversions / options. Not 100% certain it's featured, but I can have a look tonight.
I'm pretty sure evo have tested the BBR JCW equivalent but not this one. I had thought similar things about the conversion when i went to BBR website. i just wonder if it's worth voiding the warranty for..
