Hi guys

I'm new to mini's and just got my first - an F reg mini mayfair, which is great and I love it...

but it has now developed a lot of squeeking noises when driving. When the car is stationary and I put my foot down to rev it there is no squeeky noises, but when moving there is a continuous squeek.

I've been told it could be the suspension? but I think it could possibly be the wheels themselves or even the fan belt?

Does anyone have any advice on what to test or what to do to stop the squeaking!

thanks

Andy

Top arm, where the strut meets it is a ball joint.

Theres a cup in the arm, which cracks eventually and squeaks.

Job varies between easy and a right pain in the arse.

You need a cone spring compressor...

Could be a possible or one of the many bushes perhaps.

Hard to diagnose without driving it and jacking it up to check all the suspension bushes and joints.
