Have done a interwebbie trawl for bmw tuning, particualrly cooper S versions .. but there's a mind boggling array of stuff, all claiming to be better / faster / cheaper / more expensive / better looking / ect etc than the opposition. Trouble is to actually compare all the claims would take weeks :(

The BMW Mini forums also seem to be full of conflicting info from people who only have experience of their own cars / conversions or who are selling their own kit so have a vested interest in making their stuff appear more attractive ..

soo ..

is there a definitive bmw mini cooper s modifying guide available? or does anybody here have experience of a lot of tuning options (engine suspension and brakes) that they'd be willing to pass on.?

thanks in advance for any advice :)

Evo did. I can dig out the issue number at home tonight if you're interested in chasing a back issue.

the works kit seems to have much more done to it (obviously pricier though)
most kits seems to have a smaller pulley to get more power whereas the S works kit has new head, supercharger etc

Blimey, that was lucky! The first one I looked through:

Issue 61 (Enzo on the front) page 118.

THe abridged verdict is:

Fastest = BBR
Best Value = AMD
Overall Winner = Works
