Wheel stud length
Discussion
Hi all,
Our rebuild continues - We have a 7.5" disc setup, new discs and studs (21A2064 - 35mm long), used hubs, drive flanges.
The problem - Just fitted a set of 100+ Alloy wheels, (Minilite copies) 5x10, and the front studs are too short, by about 3.5-3.8mm.
(The nuts are 16mm deep,I reckon there's 2mm of lead-in, they are ~4mm short of the end, therefore only approx 10mm of thread is engaged)
Is this OK, do you all think?
What have other people done?
The next longest stud is 50mm so we'd have ~10mm sticking out, this can't be right can it??
